An invitation to discover Sicily beyond clichés – Taste Sicily is a contemporary platform for Sicilian food, telling stories of taste, origin, and the people behind it.

The platform is conceived not as a conventional online shop, but as an interface between local producers and an international audience. E-commerce is combined with editorial storytelling to make the island’s culinary diversity tangible.

At its core lies the idea of origin as a narrative principle: each product is understood as a carrier of knowledge, tradition, and craftsmanship, embedded within its regional context. The result is an experience that goes beyond consumption, offering insights into production methods, landscapes, and social structures.

The visual identity is defined by a clear design approach. The typography references modernist, utilitarian lettering of Italian companies from the 1930s and 1940s, translated into a reduced, contemporary form.

The color palette operates through a semantic contrast: yellow evokes sun, citrus fruits, and grain, while olive green refers to key products such as olive oil and pistachios. This system is complemented by rounded image formats, referencing private holiday photo archives of the 1960s and 1970s, introducing a subtle layer of nostalgia.
