A coherent wayfinding system that seamlessly links corporate identity and interior architecture in Austria’s largest energy provider’s redesigned workspace.
Austria’s largest energy provider decided in 2019 to undertake a comprehensive interior redesign of its headquarters. The renovation aimed to replace the existing office structure and implement a new open-workspace model.
The central challenge was to develop a wayfinding system that meets the diverse needs of its user groups while integrating precisely with both the new interior concept and the corporate design of Wien Energie.
Building on this foundation, a visual communication system was created that employs a distinct, recurring set of symbols while retaining a balanced and coherent visual presence.
Its clarity ensures that users are not merely guided from A to B; instead, the system establishes a connective layer between the corporate design of Wien Energie and the new interior architecture, accompanying the various user groups throughout the building.
